This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient use of your Reliable Velocity 240IR Steam Iron. Please read all instructions carefully before using the appliance.

Before first use, or if the iron has been stored for a long time, flush the water tank to remove any potential mineral buildup.

The Velocity 240IR does not have a dedicated on/off switch. To power off, you must unplug the unit from the electrical outlet.

Activating Steam

The Velocity 240IR features Sensor Touch Technology for steam activation:

When using the iron for the first time, you may hear a "chugging" noise. This is normal and indicates the pump is initializing for first-time use.

1. Hold the steam button for 5 seconds.
2. The LED light will flash to indicate the change in setting.
