The GR-88P offers several power options:
- Built-in Ni-MH Rechargeable Battery: The radio comes with a built-in 600mA Ni-MH rechargeable battery pack. This battery can be charged via the included DC 5V adapter or by using the hand-crank dynamo.
- DC 5V External Power: Connect the provided USB charging cable to the DC 5V external power socket on the back of the radio and to a compatible 5V power source (e.g., a wall adapter, not always included).
- Батареяҳои AA: For backup power, open the battery compartment on the back and insert 3 x AA batteries (not included). Ensure correct polarity.
- Hand-Crank Dynamo: Extend the hand crank located on the side of the radio and rotate it to generate power. This charges the internal Ni-MH battery and can power the radio directly.

Танзими антенна
- For FM and Shortwave (SW) reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna located on the top-rear of the radio.
- For AM (MW) reception, the radio uses an internal ferrite bar antenna. No external antenna adjustment is typically needed, but rotating the radio itself can improve reception.

Дастурҳои амалиётӣ
Амалиёти асосӣ
- Фаъол / Хомӯш: Use the 'POWER SELECTOR' switch to turn the radio ON.
- Интихоби гурӯҳ: Use the 'AM/SW1/SW2/FM' frequency selection button to choose your desired band (FM, AM, SW1, SW2).
- Танзими: The radio features coaxial slow-fast tuning knobs. Use the larger knob for rapid frequency changes and the smaller, inner knob for fine-tuning to precisely locate stations.
- Назорати овоз: Adjust the 'VOLUME' knob to your preferred listening level.
- Истифодаи гӯшмонак: Plug 3.5mm headphones into the headphone socket on the back of the radio for private listening.

To activate the flashlight, use the 'FLASH LIGHT' selector switch located on the front panel. Toggle it ON/OFF as needed.
Hand-Crank Power Generation
When external power or AA batteries are unavailable or depleted, the hand-crank dynamo can be used:
- Extend the hand crank from the side of the radio.
- Rotate the crank clockwise or counter-clockwise at a steady pace.
- A dynamo charge indicator light will illuminate to show that power is being generated and the internal Ni-MH battery is charging.
- Continuous cranking for a few minutes can provide sufficient power for short periods of radio use or to charge the internal battery.

Нигоҳдорӣ
Нигоҳубини батарея
- Батареяҳои AA: Replace depleted AA batteries promptly. Remove batteries if the radio will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
- Ni-MH Rechargeable Battery: To prolong the life of the built-in Ni-MH battery, it is recommended to fully discharge and recharge it periodically. Avoid leaving the battery completely depleted for long durations.
- Hand-Crank: Regularly use the hand-crank to keep the internal battery active, especially if the radio is stored for emergency use.
Тозакунӣ
Wipe the radio with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the surface. Avoid exposing the radio to excessive moisture.

- Омодагӣ ба ҳолати изтирорӣ: Keep the internal Ni-MH battery charged by periodically using the hand-crank or external adapter, even if not in regular use. Store with fresh AA batteries as a backup.
- Қабули оптималӣ: When tuning to Shortwave (SW) bands, try to operate the radio outdoors or near a window for improved signal quality.
- Давомнокии батарея: Avoid completely draining the internal rechargeable battery frequently. Partial discharges and regular recharges are generally better for Ni-MH battery health.
