6. Retain the old spring bars if they are in good condition, as some replacement bands may not include new ones.

Step 2: Installing the New Band

Ensure you have the correct orientation for the new band. Typically, the buckle side attaches to the 12 o'clock position of the watch, and the longer strap with holes attaches to the 6 o'clock position.

1. Insert one end of a spring bar into the hole on one of the watch lugs.
2. Compress the other end of the spring bar with your tool.
3. Carefully guide the spring bar into the corresponding hole on the opposite lug. You should hear a small click when it's securely in place.
4. Gently tug on the band to ensure it is firmly attached and does not come loose.
5. Repeat this process for the second half of the watch band.
